Digital tickets must be purchased before starting your journey.

Your ticket must be valid before you start your journey. The Innsbruck single-ride ticket and the Innsbruck 8-ride ticket in paper form must be validated using the ticket validator inside the vehicle upon boarding. Validation or activation after boarding is not permitted.

Passengers travelling without a valid ticket are required to pay a penalty fare.

Cancellation is only possible in accordance with the applicable fare regulations.

Yes. Discounted tickets are available for certain passenger groups (e.g. children ages 6 and up, young people under 20, students, apprentices, people with disabilities, and seniors ages 65 and up).

Yes, there are, for example, special family and group offers: 

• The Family Ticket is available for 2 adults with children under 15 as a single-ride, 8-ride, or 24-hour ticket. One adult pays the standard fare, and the second person, along with any number of children from the same family, rides for free.
• The EuregioFamilyPass for the regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino serves as proof of eligibility. With the EuregioFamilyPass from the regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino, the Family Light fare is also available for the tickets mentioned above, under which one adult travels at the reduced fare (at the standard fare for the 24-hour ticket) and can bring any number of children under 15 from the same family for free. Four children under 6 years of age ride for free with one accompanying adult. Each additional child under 6 years of age rides at a reduced fare.
• For KlimaTicket users (excluding KlimaTicket Ö), the “Huckepack” bonus applies: On weekends, holidays, and during school breaks, children under 15 ride for free on all local public transportation in Tyrol. The “Huckepack” bonus applies to all children under 15 listed on a valid EuregioFamilyPass for the regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino.
• For kindergarten groups, two children ride for free for each accompanying adult traveling at the reduced rate. Each additional child rides at the reduced rate.
• In addition, there are group tickets for childcare facilities: These include the “Kindergruppe Innsbruck” and “Kindergruppe Tirol” fares for 6 zones excluding Innsbruck, each valid for one year starting September 1 and for a maximum of 20 children. Order forms are available at ivb.at and vvt.at or at the respective customer service centers.
• For school trips: For groups of 10 or more students, 2 chaperones ride for free.
• Another special fare is the social fare, a discounted monthly pass for Innsbruck. Detailed information is available at the IVB Customer Service Center.

Yes, the Jobticket is the ideal ticket for companies and their employees. The Jobticket is a personalized annual pass (KlimaTicket) available at the currently valid KlimaTicket rate. With the Jobticket, companies can cover all or part of their employees’ commuting costs between home and work—and it’s tax-free. For more information, visit ivb-jobticket.at

Tickets can be reissued upon presentation of an official loss report (municipality or police) and payment of a replacement fee.

All vehicles are equipped with accessibility features. Many stops also provide tactile guidance strips and barrier-free access.

• reserved seating for pregnant passengers and people with reduced mobility
• visual displays and audio stop announcements
• blue door buttons for extended door opening times
• on buses: kneeling function and fold-out ramps
• on trams: additional holding bars for wheelchair users

Drivers assist with getting on and off whenever possible, particularly passengers with reduced mobility.

Yes. Dedicated multi-purpose areas are available in all vehicles. Passengers using wheelchairs and passengers with strollers have priority.

Yes. Bicycles can be carried free of charge, provided sufficient space is available. Please note that passengers with wheelchairs and strollers have priority. 

Transport times: 

• Weekdays: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm – 06:00 am
• Weekends and public holidays: all day
• On the Stubaitalbahn (Route STB), special regulations apply during the summer holidays from 13 July to 13 December 2026: bicycle transport is permitted throughout the day on weekdays, weekends and public holidays between Stubaitalbahnhof and Fulpmes Bahnhof, subject to available space. 

All solo buses are equipped with rear bicycle racks, which can be used without time restrictions. Within the vehicles maximum of two bicycles may be transported per designated bicycle area. Bicycles must be clean and secured.

Children under 14 may only transport bicycles when accompanied by an adult. Folded folding bicycles are considered hand luggage and may be taken on board.

Yes, provided it is folded and safely stored.

Please use the available emergency communication devices or inform the driver immediately.

Vehicles and facilities are monitored by video surveillance for security reasons. Data processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

Lost property can be reported to the Lost Property Service at the IVB Customer Service Centre, Stainerstraße 2.

• Friday: 7:30 am – 12:00 pm 

Please provide as much information as possible about the route, time and item lost. The retention period for lost property is governed by the applicable legal regulations.

These workshops help participants gain confidence in using buses, trains and trams, enabling them to travel independently and safely. Registration is managed by Klimabündnis Tirol. Yes. Innsbruck offers two Park & Ride locations: 

• Olympiaworld (Olympiahalle West and Tivoli underground car park)

Park your car and continue your journey conveniently by bus. The Park & Ride Ticket costs €21 and is valid for 1 to 5 people on the day of purchase from 6:00 am to midnight on all IVB routes within Innsbruck's core zone, excluding route S (Sightseer).
